Recap: Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors vs. DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat DSST: Green Valley Ranch 57-13 at home. The victory was just what Eagle Ridge Academy needed coming off of a 58-15 loss in their prior contest.
Leading Eagle Ridge Academy to victory were Carole Tamburino and Jaz Greenwood . Tamburino dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Greenwood dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals. Greenwood is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Adrianna Contreras was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals.
Eagle Ridge Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Ridge Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Sterling focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denver West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
