Volleyball Recap: Merced Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Merced lost against Turlock back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. While the Bears didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 25-20 in the first set.

Merced took Turlock into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-9, 15-9.

This is the second loss in a row for Merced and nudges their season record down to 7-12. As for Turlock, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Merced will face off against Summerville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Turlock, they will head out to challenge St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
