Football Game Preview: Immaculata Spartans vs. West Side Roughriders + How To Watch

The Immaculata Spartans will head out to square off against the West Side Roughriders at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Immaculata has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 154 points over their last three matchups.

Immaculata is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-18 win over Lincoln. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Lions are ranked 278th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Daysir Spille was his usual excellent self, rushing for 114 yards and four touchdowns on only five carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 60 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Drake-Murray, who rushed for 69 yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Immaculata was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 261 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, West Side was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 8-7 to Parsippany. The Roughriders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Side's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Immaculata, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Immaculata against West Side in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
