Volleyball Recap: Citrus Takes a Loss

Citrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Shorecrest Prep Chargers.

Elin Ackerman paced Citrus' offense, picking up 12 kills. Ackerman got some help from Mackenzie Flaherty and her two assists.

Shorecrest Prep found their leader in sophomore Sara Ferris, who had 11 assists and two aces.

Citrus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Shorecrest Prep, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Citrus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Tampa Catholic on the 12th. As for Shorecrest Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Lemon Bay on the 12th.
