Basketball Recap: Stigler Comes Up Short

Stigler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt an 81-33 loss at the hands of the Hartshorne Miners. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Miners are ranked 21st).

Stigler's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Hartshorne, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stigler will venture away from home to face off against Sallisaw at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hartshorne, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Talihina at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
