League recap: Morgan throws longest pass in league this season for Ramah

Tyrell Morgan and Daniel Barton provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Thoreau. The connection was good for 79 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 1 this season.

Ramah was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in the league. The Mustangs beat the Hawks 62-14 earlier in the week.

Ramah's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Morgan threw for 314 and five touchdowns and Barton had 135 yards receiving. On the ground Tyrell Daniels chipped in 130 yards. Daniels helped Ramah's passing attack out by catching three balls for 68 yards.

Ramah's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Morgan has thrown for 700 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Matthew Barton has 15 catches for 282 yards. Daniels leads the league in rushing with 327 yards.

Carlett Daniels's team took down Thoreau 62-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Morgan ran for 11 yards in the win.
