Soccer Game Preview: Booneville vs. St. Andrew's Episcopal

The Booneville Blue Devils will take on the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Booneville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over Strayhorn. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Meanwhile, St. Andrew's Episcopal waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Troopers a 7-0 shutout. The Saints' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

They hit Mooreville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lily Halter (3), Lucy Rust (2), Lily Krepps, and Kate Simms.

St. Andrew's Episcopal pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight contests. As for Booneville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
