Softball Recap: Singer Comes Up Short

Singer lost against Starks back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-2. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hanna Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Singer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Starks, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Singer is taking a road trip to square off against Lake Charles College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trailblazers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.2 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Starks, they will welcome Grand Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
