Volleyball Recap: Kenedy Starts Season with Win Against Stacey

Kenedy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Stacey Eagles by a score of 3-1. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

The win didn't come easy: Stacey scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-21.

Kenedy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bel Solis, who had ten digs, eight kills, and six blocks. Another player making a difference was Haislie Garza, who had six kills, six digs, and four blocks.

Coming up, Kenedy will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Nordheim at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stacey, they will be taking part in a tournament against Marion at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
