Tuscola had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Asheville Cougars. The Mountaineers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-0.

Jett Bartley threw for 118 yards and a touchdown. Bridger Jones was his top target, making five total tackles. On the ground, Cooper Williamson rushed for 66 yards.

Josh Ellis had a dynamite game for Asheville, rushing for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, while also catching a touchdown. Ellis' longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. Meek Slydell was another key player, throwing for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
