Softball Recap: Affton Cougars vs. Ritenour Huskies
Affton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ritenour Huskies, falling 17-0. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.
Affton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Ritenour, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Affton will welcome Herculaneum at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Affton is facing Herculaneum at the right time seeing as Herculaneum is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ritenour, their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Liberty at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
