Hawthorne wins going away against Calvary Chapel

The Hawthorne Cougars can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They strolled past Calvary Chapel with points to spare, taking the game 67-53. The victory was just what Hawthorne needed coming off of a 84-46 defeat in their prior match.
Calvary Chapel's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaden Roemheld, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Roemheld hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Terrance Gammage, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
Hawthorne's victory bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Calvary Chapel, they bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Hawthorne will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Acaciawood at 4:30 p.m. on December 5th. Calvary Chapel won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Whitney at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
