Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Concord's Winning Streak

If Concord was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Goshen last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minutemen took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northridge Raiders on Thursday. The Minutemen's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-27, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Concord saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Bloss had 11 digs. Kaylen Troup was another key player, getting 20 digs and one assist.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Northridge, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-6.

Concord is on the road again on Saturday to play Marquette Catholic at 9:00 a.m. As for Northridge, they will challenge New Prairie at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
