Baseball Game Preview: Neuse Charter Cougars vs. Rosewood Eagles

Neuse Charter is 0-10 against Rosewood since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. Neuse Charter will head out on the road to square off against Rosewood at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Neuse Charter is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of North Duplin. One positive for the Cougars, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Brayden Parr made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Joseph Boykin also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Rosewood unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Wayne Christian by a score of 6-5.

Jack Adams was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Neuse Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rosewood, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Neuse Charter might still be hurting after the 21-0 defeat they got from Rosewood in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Neuse Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
