Soccer Game Preview: Arkansas vs. Benton

Arkansas is 2-8 against Benton since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Razorbacks will venture away from home to face off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m.

Arkansas is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Lake Hamilton on Tuesday. Neither the Razorbacks nor Wolves could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Benton made sure to put some goals up on the board against El Dorado on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats an 8-0 shutout. Considering Benton have won eight matchups by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Arkansas' draw makes their record 3-5-1 this season. As for Benton, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Arkansas suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Benton in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Razorbacks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
