Baseball Recap: Escambia Comes Up Short

Escambia lost to Pensacola Catholic last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gators came up short against the Crusaders, falling 9-1. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Escambia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Bates, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Escambia's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Pensacola Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Escambia has already played their next matchup, an 8-4 victory against Booker T. Washington on the 15th. As for Pensacola Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-7 win against Northview on the 9th.
