Recap: McKinley Tech Trainers vs. School Without Walls Penguins
On Wednesday, the McKinley Tech Trainers faced the School Without Walls Penguins in a battle between two of the state's top teams. McKinley Tech simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat School Without Walls 70-43 at home. McKinley Tech has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.
McKinley Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ricardo Zeno, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Alexander Williams, who scored 11 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for McKinley Tech and bumps their season record up to 11-8. As for School Without Walls, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKinley Tech will take on Dunbar at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (Dunbar is ranked tenth, while McKinley Tech is ranked 13th). As for School Without Walls, they will be playing at home against Banneker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Banneker knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully School Without Walls likes a good challenge.
