Softball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Liberty Redhawks. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Redhawks from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Stormy DANIEL was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Liberty, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Independence will challenge Frisco at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Frisco will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Independence surely won't give up without a fight. As for Liberty, they will square off against Memorial at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
