Basketball Game Preview: Telstar Rebels vs. Pine Tree Academy Breakers

The Telstar Rebels will head out on the road to challenge the Pine Tree Academy Breakers at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Telstar will be strutting in after a victory while Pine Tree Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Telstar turned things around against Wiscasset on Thursday. They walked away with a 30-17 win over the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, Pine Tree Academy's undefeated season came to an end after four games two weeks ago. They took a hard 37-21 fall against Buckfield. The game marked the Breakers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Telstar's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Pine Tree Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Telstar ended up a good deal behind Pine Tree Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 40-23. Can Telstar avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
