Basketball Recap: Central Heights Blue Devils vs. Westwood Panthers
Central Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westwood Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Devils have lost by exactly four points.
Westwood found their leader in sophomore Kavian Bryant, who went 13 for 20 on his way to 41 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The matchup was Bryant's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Carter, who posted ten points.
Central Heights' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Westwood, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
