Basketball Recap: Anthony Wildcats vs. Immanuel Christian Warriors
In what's become a running theme this season, the Anthony Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on Immanuel Christian with a sharp 77-54 win. Winning may never get old, but Anthony sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Despite the defeat, Immanuel Christian saw an underclassman step up: Carlos Acu?a dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Hector Perez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Anthony has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Immanuel Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-7.
Anthony will take on the Badgers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Immanuel Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against the Fighting Irish at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cathedral has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 314 points over their last five matchups.
