Baseball Recap: Fort Chiswell Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Fort Chiswell couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Auburn Eagles on Saturday, falling 10-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Pioneers, who until this match were averaging 3.58 runs allowed.

Fort Chiswell's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Auburn, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 26-1-1.

As of now, neither Fort Chiswell nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
