Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for St. Francis Borgia

St. Francis Borgia had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Belle on Friday. St. Francis Borgia blew past Belle 12-1. The Knights not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Ben Nieder, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Lane Mallinckrodt was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

St. Francis Borgia's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Francis Borgia will challenge Blair Oaks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Belle, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Iberia at 5:00 p.m. on April 1.
