Baseball Recap: Lennox Academy Comes Up Short

Lennox Academy extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 6-10 in the process. They lost 14-0 to the Rolling Hills Prep Huskies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Huskies since May 4, 2021.

As for Rolling Hills Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. The result was nothing new for Rolling Hills Prep, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Rolling Hills Prep's part, Jake Levin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave Levin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Samuel Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Looking ahead, Lennox Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Hawthorne at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Rolling Hills Prep, they are taking a road trip to square off against New Roads at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
