Baseball Game Preview: Linfield Christian Lions vs. Woodcrest Christian Royals

For the second straight game, Linfield Christian will face off against Woodcrest Christian. The Lions will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Royals at 3:30 p.m. Linfield Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Woodcrest Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Linfield Christian is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since March 8th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Woodcrest Christian by a score of 5-3. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Woodcrest Christian's part, the team relied heavily on Austin Anderson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Anderson has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Suarez, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The win got Woodcrest Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Linfield Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1.
