La Center waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Woodland Beavers as they made off with a 12-2 win. Considering the Wildcats have won three games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Justin Fuller, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Schockelt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
La Center's record is now 6-3. As for Woodland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Coming up, La Center will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Stevenson at 4:30 p.m. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Woodland, they will head out to face off against Hockinson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
