Soccer Recap: Souhegan Takes a Loss

Souhegan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Pembroke Spartans, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, Souhegan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Pembroke are ranked 17th).

Souhegan's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-2. As for Pembroke, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Souhegan will square off against Oyster River at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pembroke, they will challenge Laconia at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
