Soccer Game Preview: Monta Vista vs. Gunn

The Monta Vista Matadors will head out on the road to face off against the Gunn Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monta Vista's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Monta Vista will head out to face Gunn after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. Monta Vista fell just short of Saratoga by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Matadors have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Hossein Dastgah, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Gunn was not quite Milpitas' equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Trojans. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Monta Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-4. As for Gunn, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-5.

Everything went Monta Vista's way against Gunn in their previous matchup back in January, as Monta Vista made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monta Vista since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
