Volleyball Recap: South Johnston Comes Up Short at Home Against Garner

South Johnston unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to Garner on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss South Johnston has suffered since August 19, 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Haley Heath, who had five digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Johnston will host North Johnston at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Garner, they will square off against Wake Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
