Football Game Preview: Clear Spring Blazers vs. Tussey Mountain Titans

The Clear Spring Blazers will face off against the Tussey Mountain Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Clear Spring turned things around against Smithsburg on Friday. They walked away with a 14-7 win over the Leopards. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Blazers were the (much) better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Tussey Mountain didn't have too much trouble with Everett on Friday as they won 26-7. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Clear Spring better keep an eye on Noah Lucko. He was instrumental in Tussey Mountain's win, rushing for 171 yards, while also picking up 61 receiving yards and one score. Lucko has become a key player for the Titans: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

Tussey Mountain was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Tussey Mountain didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Isaiah Gambol. Another thorn in Everett's side was Kyler Reed, who made 25 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Clear Spring's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Tussey Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
