Volleyball Recap: Fountain-Fort Carson Takes a Loss

Fountain-Fort Carson saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Denver East Angels by a score of 3-2. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Angels 25-16 in the first set.

Fountain-Fort Carson couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Denver East a tough time in the fourth set. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-15, 26-24, 29-31, 15-13.

Riley O'Hara paced Fountain-Fort Carson's offense, picking up 16 kills. O'Hara got some help from Emeline Maualuga and her 39 assists.

Fountain-Fort Carson's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Denver East, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

Fountain-Fort Carson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Pine Creek on the 28th. As for Denver East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Vista PEAK Prep on the 28th.
