Basketball Recap: Kenesaw Falls Short of Elgin/Pope John in the Playoffs

Kenesaw and Elgin/Pope John squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Kenesaw had to settle for second. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack. While the Blue Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wolfpack 10-6 in the first quarter.

Maddox Wagoner and Adam Denkert certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Wagoner posted 11 points and six boards, while Denkert scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Evan Rodriguez, who earned six points.

Kenesaw's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Elgin/Pope John, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Kenesaw nor Elgin/Pope John have any future games scheduled.
