 Cheatham County Central is 8-1 against Sycamore since April of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Cheatham County Central Cubs will head out on the road to  challenge  the Sycamore War Eagles at 6:00  p.m. One thing working in Cheatham County Central's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last four games.
 Cheatham County Central is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Thursday, just like they did against East Hickman County (and have done all season long). Cheatham County Central put the hurt on East Hickman County with a sharp  10-4 win on Wednesday.

 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Macie Harter, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Sydney Crouch was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Sycamore started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Montgomery Central. Their  tough  8-2 loss to the Indians  on Wednesday might stick with them for a while. Sycamore has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Gaibriella Allen put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   six  hits. Allen was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with a  triple and a  run.
 Allen wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Libby Reeder, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and  an  RBI.
 Cheatham County Central's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-5. As for Sycamore, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
 Cheatham County Central was able to grind out a solid  win over Sycamore when the teams last played  back in April of 2023, winning  6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cheatham County Central since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
