Softball Recap: Newport - Bellevue Comes Up Short

Newport - Bellevue lost against Woodinville on April 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Knights lost 14-4 to the Falcons. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Demi Brown- Ruegg made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Newport - Bellevue's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Woodinville, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport - Bellevue will welcome Cedarcrest at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Woodinville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Redmond at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
