Soccer Recap: Martinsburg Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Martinsburg was not quite Princeton's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. Martinsburg have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Everhart and Mason Hughes scored both of Martinsburg's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Martinsburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Martinsburg didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 victory against Greenbrier East on the 23rd. As for Princeton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Cabell Midland on the 23rd.
