Basketball Game Preview: Roy Royals vs. Box Elder Bees

The Roy Royals will face off against the Box Elder Bees at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Roy is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 71-20 loss at the hands of Bountiful. The game marked the Royals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Box Elder played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Clearfield and fell 55-22. While losing is never fun, the Bees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Falcons are ranked 30th).

Box Elder has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-20 record this season. As for Roy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Roy beat Box Elder 53-40 in their previous meeting back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Box Elder's Emma Nelson, who posted 22 points and six boards.
