Baseball Recap: Titusville Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Titusville won the last time they faced Franklin and things went their way on Monday too. The Rockets blew past the Knights 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kameron Mong made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ian McDonald, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Coleman Knapp also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Titusville's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Franklin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
