Basketball Recap: Acadiana Takes a Loss

Acadiana played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Lafayette Lions 75-9. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Danyiah Green was Acadiana's leading scorer, having posted six points. Essence Green held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Acadiana's defeat dropped their record down to 5-22. As for Lafayette, they pushed their record up to 16-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Acadiana will challenge Southside at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Acadiana is facing Southside at the right time seeing as Southside is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lafayette, they will take on Barbe at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
