Water Valley waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Strayhorn Mustangs, sneaking past 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-5 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Parker Turnage, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Brennan Carter was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Water Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Strayhorn, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Water Valley will face off against Delta Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Strayhorn, they will take on Ingomar at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
