Stratford is 9-1 against Cypress Creek since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Stratford Spartans will square off against the Cypress Creek Cougars at 2:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Stratford's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when Rouse hitters got past them. Stratford lost 10-2 to Rouse on Saturday. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Cypress Creek came up short against Waller on Friday, falling 17-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cypress Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Ross, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Ross a new career-high.

Stratford's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Cypress Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1.

Stratford might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Cypress Creek when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Stratford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
