Soccer Recap: Central Falls Short of Northwestern in the Playoffs

Central and Northwestern squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Central had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwestern Bulls. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 last Friday.

Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-2 record this season. As for Northwestern, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6-2.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwestern, they will challenge Mater Lakes Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mater Lakes Academy's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last four contests.
