It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Carter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles. The win was nothing new for the Cowboys as they're now sitting on three straight.

Pablo Daurte was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February.

In other batting news, Jeremiah Smith was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-5. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Gary Mays, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Carter's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Wilmer-Hutchins, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Carter will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
