Basketball Recap: Sigourney Extends Winning Streak to 12

Sigourney waltzed into their game on Thursday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They breezed by the Moravia Mohawks to the tune of 74-35. The Savages have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Sigourney's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Moravia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Coming up, Sigourney will face off against Centerville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Centerville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Sigourney likes a good challenge. As for Moravia, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-45 win against B-G-M on the 7th.
