Volleyball Recap: Jocelyn Serra Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lake Nona had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cypress Creek Bears. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won eight in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Nona to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jocelyn Serra, who had 26 digs and two aces. Serra has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Leilany Starling, who had 13 digs and three assists.

Lake Nona's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Cypress Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Coming up, Lake Nona will challenge Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
