Baseball Recap: Rush Springs Takes a Loss

Rush Springs fell victim to Luther and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Luther Lions, falling 8-0. The Redskins haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Rush Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Jones a new career-high. Derrick Boyster also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Rush Springs now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Luther, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rush Springs will host Waurika at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Luther, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Del City at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
