Basketball Recap: Master's Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Varsity Opponent on Monday, Master's Academy came back down to earth. The Master's Academy Patriots came up short against the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles on Tuesday, falling 43-19. The Patriots have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Master's Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Greta Hinz posted no points and five blocks. Master's Academy is 2-1 when Hinz posts three or more blocks, but 3-5 otherwise.

Even though they lost, Master's Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Master's Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Master's Academy will venture away from home to challenge Brevard Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they will head out to square off against Merritt Island Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
