Meanwhile, Fort Knox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of John Hardin.

Layna Morgan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double.

Fort Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Warren Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Warren Central was able to grind out a solid win over Fort Knox in their previous meeting on Saturday, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
