Basketball Recap: Burke Starts Season with Loss at Home

Burke unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the North Central Thunder on Tuesday, falling 53-29. The Cougars' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Burke has already played their next matchup, a 52-21 defeat against Platte/Geddes on the 19th. As for North Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-43 loss against Ipswich on the 17th.
