After a string of six wins, Hazel Green's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Austin Black Bears. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Black Bears earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Hazel Green's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Austin, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hazel Green will host Ardmore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Austin, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hartselle at 4:30 p.m. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Black Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
