League recap: Tenafly climbs in state rankings with win

Tenafly moved up to 144 from 179 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Big North - National. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of defeating West Milford 29-7.

Lakeland Regional took down Fair Lawn 43-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Blake Geller and Blake Geller gave Northern Valley Regional a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Geller threw for 118 yards, while Geller ran for 110 yards. Teammate Sloan Frankel added to the ground attack by rushing for 100 yards.

John Trainor was the best wideout in the league this week as Northern Valley beat Kennedy. Trainor racked up two receptions for 95 yards. Ben Davis helped Northern Valley's passing attack out by catching one ball for 45 yards.

On the ground, the Lancers' David Shellhammer has rushed for 1120 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kyle Allegrini. The Lakeland Regional star has 23 catches for 549 yards.

A big matchup in Big North - National this week will be when Lakeland Regional takes on Indian Hills. At the moment, Bill Weigel's team is in first, while the Braves are in fifth.

The Lancers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on the CUTTERS.
